WHAT IS IT

Mindfulness is a state of being fully attentive to the present moment. Being completely aware of your thoughts, sensations and feelings without distraction or judgment.

 

APPROACHES USED

Mindfulness is a form of meditation. It involves breathing exercises, guided imagery and other practices to relax the mind and body. Each exercise involves focusing intensely on senses and feelings in the moment. Some of the exercises include sitting meditation, standing meditation, walking mediation and body scan mediation.

HOW DOES IT HELP

In a busy lifestyle and the constant pressure of the day-to-day duties, we can spend a lot of time running from task to task. This can lead to negative thoughts at times which leads to stress. Practicing mindfulness can help slow down and maintain awareness of our thoughts and feelings.
