What is 'Tajweed'?

Tajweed means to recite every letter correctly, from its Makhraj, with all its Qualities. Since the Qur'an was revealed with Tajweed, it is compulsory to recite the Qur'an with Tajweed and compulsory to learn it.

Tajweed Course for sisters starting on 1st October - 3rd December 2011, (10 weeks) on Saturdays between 1pm - 2pm

The Course will teach students to recite the Qur’an the original way to be read along with Teaching of Tajweed Rules
Practise the Pronunciations of Arabic letters
Exercising the tongue and a lot of repetition
At end of course students will have an understanding of Alphabets & Knowledge of what rules change in the letters due to the order of letters
